Prior to starting our team at Rideau Dental will spend time going over the procedure and answering any questions that you may have. Once we are ready to start, the area that will be work on will be numbed with a topical gel followed with local anesthetic. We will use specialized dental instruments to gentle loosen the tooth and lift the tooth gently from the socket. In more complex cases we may have to section the tooth and/or make small incisions in the gums to get more access to the tooth especially in cases where the tooth is broken down or brittle. Once your tooth is removed, the socket will be cleaned and stitches may be placed to help the help the area heal. Our team will then review the necessary post-op instructions with you and follow-up with a care call.
